I'm not sure how to answer this question. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Give reason as to why the oxidizing power of elements increase  on moving from left to right along a period

Should my answer be that across a period the non metallic character, IP and electronegativity increases thus kthey can more easily gain electrons as you move from left to right.
