Question 1 [10 x 2] Answer briefly each of the questions (i) to (x): i. What is meant by Liberal Democracy? ii. Explain the term political homogeneity. iii. Name the body that drafted and enacted the Constitution of India and the Constitution of the US. iv. State any two judicial functions of the Legislature. v. State any two limitations imposed on the powers of the U.S Congress. vi. Mention any two privileges enjoyed by the Senators and not by the members of the House of Representatives. vii. Explain the term Republic. viii. What are the Directive Principles? ix. Explain Article 32 of the Indian Constitution. x. State any two Directive principles that are yet to be achieved. PART II (60 Marks) SECTION A Answer any three questions. Question 2 a) Enumerate the features of an authoritarian state. b) Make a comparative study of the UK as a Parliamentary form of Government and the USA as a Presidential form of government.
