COMPUTER NOTES 1. Important Questions Question What are principles of OOP s? Name any four principles/ define any two principles Define Inheritance/ Polymorphism/ Encapsulation/ Abstraction (You can get more marks by highlighting the key points) Define Class/ Object Write two types of Java Programming (Ans: Standalone, Application) Why is Java termed as a platform? (Ans: Platform is the environment in which programs execute. Instead of directly interacting with the OS, java runs on a JVM) Write any 2 features of Java ! Define WORA/ WORM (Board Exam Question) Difference between Interpreter and Compiler What are the types of comments ! Define Package What is Java Character set? Define Unicode Define Datatypes (or different types of datatypes) (Board Exam Question) What is the size in bits/bytes (Board Exam Question) Default Value of Datatypes (Board Exam Question) What is type casting? ! What is implicit/ explicit? Difference between Print and Println What are the types of Unary Operators? (Ans: Prefix & Postfix) Example if p=5, find d=++p + 5 (Such type of questions can come) (Board Exam Question) Differentiate between Constructors and Functions (Board Exam Question) What package is called automatically in the Java Program? What all classes does it contain? Define / Give Syntax/ What package is used for- Buffered Reader and Scanner Class Define non-parametrised constructor Conversion of Math Expression into Java Expression Marks 2 4 2 m/ per 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 (No idea) 2 1/per 1/per 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 In which operator is ? mark used? (Ans: Ternary Operator) Conversion of If Else to ternary operator (They will give code snippet) How do objects interact with eachother? Define a. Local Variable b. Class Variable Name package that contains Scanner Class/ Buffered Reader What is JDK? Define Constructors What is the Dangling Else Problem? (Ans: Ambiguity that arises in a nested statement due to a greater number of if s that number of else s) 2 or 1 2/3 2 2m/ per 2 2 2 2 2. Important points to remember a. While writing a program- you must write the Variable Description and Output. Sample Variable Description b. You must write the syntax with all definitions 3. Important Notes, Content, Extra Definitions - What is meant by OOP concepts? It means that more importance is given to objects rather than the procedure or method to solve a problem - Object: An identifiable entity with some characteristics and behaviour. - Class: A set of objects that share some common characteristics and behaviour - Why are classes termed as Object Factories? - - - - An object factory is a producer of objects. Classes are termed as object factories as they contain all the required statements to create an object. Modularity: The act of partitioning a program into individual components Definition of WORA/ WORM: This means that once the program is written in the Java Language, it can be run and executed on many different platforms Byte Code Definition 1: Optimised set of instructions which is designed to run and execute Java Run Time System Definition 2: Set of pseudo mechanic language instructions understood by the JVM and are independent of any underlying software API- Application Programmer Interface- Consists of libraries of precomplied code that a programmer can use Documentation: A general comment line which a programmer uses to describe about the program, processes involved/used and brief details of its steps Scope of Class: The reachability or accountability of variables, data or statements Interface: It is like a class but includes a group of method declarations. Character Set: When a sequence of characters makes a statement Java Characters: Internal representation of code New: Dynamic allocation of memory during runtime Initialization: Giving a value to a variable and assigning it a datatype Dynamic Initialization: When a value is given to a variable during runtime Variable: It is a named memory location which contains a value. Its value can change based on the conditions and problems in a program. Relational Operators: The operators that determine the relation among different operands and return a Boolean value after evaluation. Coercion: The implicit type conversion where data types are promoted to their largest datatype Definition of Statement: Statements are complete units of executions, terminated by a semicolon (;) Block: A block is a group of zero or more executable statements between balanced braces. Delimiter: The space between tokens
