SECTION - I Q1) a) Explain concept of absolute and relative humidity, how humidity of the soil can be tested? [8] b) How pH of a liquid material is measured in a laboratory? What is necessity of pH measurement for food in process industry. [8] Q2) a) Give details and specifications of transducer used for soil conductivity measurement, explain instrument used with help of simple block diagram. [8] b) How turbidity is measured in a laboratory? What is necessity of turbidity measurement of a water used for irrigation through suitable watering system? [8] Q3) a) Prepare a flow chart for milk processing in a dairy for distribution of milk in urban area. [8] b) Explain the layout of milk processing plant, with special reference to inwards inventory. [8] Q4) a) Give the details of various methods to measure the wind speed which may affect the green house environment. [8] b) Explain systems developed related to transport of processed milk or products of green house to the distribution or air lift centers. [8] P.T.O.
