Rs=12+8=20 ohm. Req= 20x20/40=10 ohm I=V/Req=48/10=4.8A. I in 8 ohm= 4.8x20/40=2.4A. Explanation: first find equivalent resistance.....12 ohm and 8 ohm are in series so Rs =12+8 =20 ohm this 20ohm and Another 20ohm are in parallel so Req= 20x20/20+20=10 ohm now I=V/Req=48/10=4.8A now this 4.8A is divided between two 20ohm resistances= 4.8/2=2.4A. I in 12ohm and 8 ohm will be same= 2.4A

Pendulum B and C are of different lengths so their natural frequencies are different. B vibrates under forced vibrations.while C will vibrate under resonance (as natural frequency of A and C are same)with larger amplitude and will be in same phase as of A.

Smaller force with a larger distance between the line of action of force and axis of rotation produces the same turning effect as the larger force with a smaller distance . So to reduce the effort while turning the head of the bolt or the screw to tighten it longer spanner is used.
