PRIME ACADEMY (ICSE) PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION 2023 Subject: Technical Drawing Applications Std.: X Marks:100 Date: 13/01/2023 Time: 3hrs Answers to this paper must be written on the paper provided separately. You will not be allowed to draw/write during the first 15 minutes. This time is to be spent in reading the question paper. The time given at the head of this paper is time allowed for writing the answers. Attempt five questions in all. Three questions from Section A and Two questions from Section B Each Section should be answered on a separate paper. All questions must be answered in full scale. All construction lines must be shown. All dimensions are in millimetres unless specified otherwise. The intended marks for questions or parts of questions are given in brackets [ ]. The Paper consists of 4 Printed Sides. SECTION A (48 MARKS) Answer any three questions from this Section Question 1 (a) A right Square Pyramid, base 40 mm and axis 70mm long, is resting on a corner [10] Draw its projections Front View and Top View when axis is parallel to Vertical Plane and inclined at 45 to Horizontal Plane. Two sides of base are inclined at 600 to VP. Use First Angle Method of projection. (b) Draw a SQUARE of diagonal 38mm. Construct four equal circles outside this square [6] Such that each circle touches one side of the square and two other circles. Question 2 Refer Figure 1. [16] Draw an OBLIQUE VIEW when the receding angle is 45 . (Do not Insert any dimensions.) Figure 1 1
