Question :- 7 (a) Distinguish between Government Company and Public Corporation. (b) Discuss any five functions of Human Resources Department. (c) Explain in brief the interpersonal skills in communication. 5 5 5 5 5 5 Question :- 8 (a) Distinguish between Revenue and Expenses. (b) Explain the rules of Debit and Credit with examples. (c) What do you mean by Trial Balance? State the features of Trial Balance. Question :- 9 Case Study Anil works as a supervisor in Nerolac Paints, Kanpur. His workers respond well to his leadership and try to come up to his level of expectations. However, Anil takes a tough stand when workers are unable to achieve their targets. Anil punished two workers for not being able to achieve their targets and this lead to anger among the workers. Workers feel that they should be consulted in determining work targets. Anil reports to Mr. Kapoor, the Production Manager. Unhappy at the development, Anil has requested Mr. Kapoor for a transfer to some other department. Read the above case study and answer to the following questions based on the case study. (a) Do you think Anil was right in punishing the workers? Write your opinion in three points. What would you have done if you were in Anil s position? 5 5 5 5 (b) Do you think workers should be consulted in determining work targets? Write your views. Does Anil require to be more sensitive towards his workers? Write your opinion about this. (c) What steps should be taken by Mr. Kapoor to deal with the problem? Will you recommend the transfer of Anil? Justify your answer with suitable reasons. 5 Question :- 10 Case Study Water is the most essential source of life.One should not waste water and rather try to save it. Once a school boy, Rahul was misutilizing a lot of water when there was acute shortage of water in various place .He never respected the use of water and rather wasted it always. He often used to keep the tap open after using the water to wash his face in school and at home. Once his Principal called him and punished him for this behaviour after watching him in CCTV. Even after repeated punishments and warnings his behaviour did not change. One day while he went home from school, there was no water supply in his house and that day he realised the value of water. Read the above case and answer the questions below: (a) Discuss the importance of water in our daily life in your own words. 5 (b) What are the various domestic and industrial uses of water ? 5 (c) What did you learn from the above case?
