The developed world has no other option than turn to India to overcome the shortage of skilled manpower globally in the future. We are the youngest country in the world with average age being 24 years in India. On the other hand countries like China and Japan are ageing very fast. The World and economics around are going through a major transitions and change. We are going through a paradigm shift and it is very important to catch up to that change and be winners in that change. As a civilisation, we have always put a premium on knowledge. The power of knowledge is not merely as power of information per se. It is the power of creative knowledge using the power of knowledge and information to create. Knowledge flow is another paradigm and has no geographical boundaries and J 1208 3 P.T.O. operates on a networking basis. In India, though we have a sound knowledge base, we are very poor in creative knowledge. It can be small creative idea, but that could make a big impact. Creative power is what is needed to tap huge potential markets. The global entrepreneurship survey talks about entrepreneur level in India being much higher than many other countries including China. We have historically been great global traders. At a country level, it was only during the past 10 to 15 years, we have shown entrepreneurial spirit and youth have played a very significant role in this direction.
