Answers to short answer/essay type questions are to be given in the space provided below each question or after the questions in the Test Booklet itself. U U No Additional Sheets are to be used. 3. Do not accept a booklet without sticker-seal and do not accept an open booklet. PHILOSOPHY S PAPER III - III NOTE : This paper is of two hundred (200) marks containing four (4) sections. Candidates are required to attempt the questions contained in these sections according to the detailed instructions given therein. (200) (4) S J 0306 2 SECTION - I U I Note : This section contains five (5) questions based on the following paragraph. Each question should be answered in about thirty (30) words and each carries five (5) marks. (5x5=25 marks) ( 5) (30) ( 5) (5x5=25 ) We do not say that the divine is beyond the World : it is also behind it. It is supporting this world with its oneness and sustaining us all in facing the burden of division. The cosmosis working out a greater possibility of reaching spiritual oneness through the exercise of human freedom with all its consequences of danger and difficulty, pain and imperfection............ As to why the divine should have permitted this particular plan, we can understand it when we cross the barrier of our limited intelligence and see things from the supreme identity that lies behind the terrestrial process. From where we are, we can only say that it is a mystery --(ma ya ) or is the divine will, or the expression of his creative force. Ma ya does not mean that the World is a vain illusion, mere smoke without fire. The purpose of human life is to cross the line to emerge from insufficiency and ignorance to fullness and wisdom. This is moksa, or liberation into the light of superconsciousness. It is parama purusa rtha, the supreme end of life, and the means to it is dharma.
