I parens ne avevano sentito parlare ben poco del vecchio Martino, quindi non si sono molto inquietati, per mi hanno fatto lo stesso il terzo grado, hanno voluto sapere se avevo mai visto girare della droga, a scuola, o se ne avevo mai presa. E io: No, no, no. Giuro. Figliolo, dicci la verit . meglio dire la verit adesso, che trovarsi in una situazione come quella di quel poveretto. No, no, no, davvero, ve lo direi, giuro. Promesso? Promesso, certo. Alla fine, il Cancelliere ha stabilito che Martino doveva essere una specie di povero disgraziato e basta, uno che era capitato in un giro di spacciatori e magari s era ucciso perch quelli l avevano messo di fronte all alternativa di ammazzarsi o farsi ammazzare.
