OR 12 20 Marks Question 9 Heritage and Identity (30 marks) (a) Using Source D and your own knowledge, discuss the effectiveness of government policies in overcoming racism and discrimination relating to Aboriginal heritage and identity. 10 Source D Croc Festivals The Croc Festivals aim to involve young Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians from rural and remote Australia in a festival environment, which embraces health, education, employment and performing arts, in the spirit of reconciliation. The Croc Festivals are part of a proactive approach taken by health departments to tackle the drug and alcohol education issues that concern rural and remote communities in Australia.
