La Biografia di Anna Valle Sono nata a Roma il 19 giugno 1975. Fino a 13 anni ho vissuto a Ladispoli, vicino a Roma, con tutta la mia famiglia e a 14 anni mi sono trasferita a Lentini in provincia di Siracusa con mia madre e mia sorella, mentre mio padre e mio fratello sono rimasti a Ladispoli. Le barriere coralline vanno in frantumi I risultati del primo rapporto mondiale L UNEP, il programma delle Nazioni Unite per l ambiente, ha annunciato nei giorni scorsi che il primo rapporto mondiale delle barriere coralline pronto. Gli esperti non si aspettavano niente di buono ma nessuno era stato sufficientemente pessimista. A commentare questo rapporto di ancora un altro disastro ambientale il direttore dell UNEP, Claus Toepfer: l uomo che sta distruggendo le barriere coralline . E spiega: Troppa pesca con la dinamite. E inquinamento. Il corallo coperto da sedimenti e frantumato dalla crescita delle alghe, causata dai fertilizzanti. Anche il turismo contribuisce alla distruzione delle barriere. Quello che l uomo fa contro le barriere coralline documentato in ogni pagina di questo rapporto. Nel rapporto, per , scritto anche quello che le barriere danno all uomo: cibo, per centinaia di migliaia di persone, per molte delle quali l unica fonte di proteine animali. In alcuni paesi costituisce l unica ricchezza per la pesca e per il turismo. Inoltre, le barriere coralline producono anche sostanze chimiche che gi si usano per preparare la met dei medicinali anticancro sul mercato, e per combattere la lotta contro l AIDS. Le barriere coralline, dice il rapporto, rappresentano il pi antico e vario ecosistema del pianeta. Proteggerle importante per tutti: non solo per l ecosistema ma anche per le popolazioni locali per le quali rappresentano vantaggi economici. Ci sono gi diversi esempi di un atteggiamento pi positivo e questi costituiscono segnali di speranza.
