ART PAPER 1 Drawing or Painting from Still Life (Maximum Marks: 100) (Time allowed: Three hours) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTRUCTIONS This paper is for the use of the Supervising Examiner only, in consultation with the Art Teacher. Attention is directed to the syllabus and to the Standing Instructions as given in the syllabus book. The Supervising Examiner is asked to ensure that the candidate s unique identification number (UID) and index number in that order, are written clearly in the top right-hand corner of the front surface of the paper. It may prove impossible to give marks for the work unless the unique identification number (UID) and index number are legible. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Any one of the two alternatives set below may be selected. A. Objects Required: A Globe, two or three books, a magnifying glass, an apple. B. Arrangement: Place the globe on one side. The books should be kept one on top of another close to the globe. The magnifying glass should rest against the books. The apple can be placed on top of the books. OR Objects Required: A small basket, a couple of Red and Yellow bell peppers, one capsicum, a few loose mushrooms. A frying pan. A spatula. Arrangement: Place all items to make a suitable and visually appealing arrangement.
