ART PAPER 1 Drawing or Painting from Still Life (Maximum Marks: 100) (Time allowed: Three hours) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ INSTRUCTIONS This paper is for the use of the Supervisor only, in consultation with the Art Teacher. Attention is directed to the syllabus and to the Standing Instructions as given in the syllabus book. The Supervisor is asked to ensure that the candidate s unique identification number (UID) and index number in that order, are written clearly in the top right-hand corner of the front surface of the paper. It may prove impossible to give marks for the work unless the unique identification number (UID) and index number are legible. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Any one of the two alternatives set below may be selected. A. Objects Required: A violin case. A violin and its bow. A few pages of sheet music. A small table or a stand to hold the pages. Arrangement: Open the violin case and stand the violin vertically in it. Rest the bow on the case at a slant. Place the stand or table to one side of the violin with the pages of sheet music either inserted in the stand or placed on the table. OR B. Objects Required: A large basket. A small pumpkin, two packets of mushrooms, two or three red and yellow bell peppers, a few carrots with leaves and some lemons.
