Happy Friendship Day, people! This is the once place I least expected to make friends, but lo! Life is funny, and it gifted me so many precious buddies. BTW, a quick note to the new people: Don't worry if you can't see many people here at the moment; this is the "Res off season" (uggh that was very lame ;p), and.... .....Winter is coming. I mean, exams. And with that will arrive a flood of people, who you will proudly call your "mates" after this wonderful journey ends. So, keep up: You are in for a ride. Peace! |

This post is for the newcomers: Hello, 2k19 ICSEians!! You wouldn't be knowing who I am. So let me introduce myself, first!! My name's AAYUSH JOSHI. A fellow 2k18 ICSEian. My interests are: exploring the world to the greatest possible depth, playing basketball, football and trying to swim(coz I haven't been able to swim yet). xD I also like to crack lame jokes all around, which can either amuse you or make your expression somewhat like this-------> " -_- ". xD So, I know, why you guys came to respaper, to snatch hold of all the sample papers, notes and other stuff. But literally, I'm saying, you guys are on a journey, a beeeeautiful one, which you'll enjoy!! You'll meet students from all around India, who'll clear your doubts, provide you company and will give you a good time to spend here. I bet that you'll never really think that you've wasted MBs of data on res(except when you hang out on a chat for too long). So, I personally suggest you fresh people to not to waste much time on chat as it is addictive for many(like me) but thankfully enough, I discovered that chat page after boards were all over. During my class 10th journey, I missed out on some tips which I don't want you guys to miss, I committed numerous blunders, which I don't want you guys to commit. Some tips for you new people: 1) Come to chat only if you have to freshen up your mind, or if you want some company or if you want an instant answer to some query and someone is present there who can answer. Don't hang out there for too long(it'll waste your time). 2) Focus on your studies if you want a goood percentage, study with the will of knowing about the very place you live in (yes, our world), study strategically, rather than just holding the book in front of you for hours and hours together. Keep a knowledge of every topic in your textbook, if its not too high level but focus more on the topics specified in the syllabus. And the most, most, most important thing: READ AND TRY TO UNDERSTAND THE TOPIC YOU'RE STUDYING, NEVER CRAM, AFTER GOING THROUGH THE TOPIC, JOT DOWN THE IMPORTANT POINTS , PREFERABLY ON THE FREE SPACE IN THE BOOK OR ON SOME PAPER FLAGS AND STICK THEM IN YOUR BOOK ITSELF. THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO REMEMBER A TOPIC FOR LONG. If you're not able to memorise some maths formulae, or some History/Civics or Geography topics, just make a nice chart of the main points of the topic and stick it in the place most frequented by you(no problem even if it's the toilet xD). I stuck it on the fridge door. xD ( I'm interested in food also). 3) If you have any doubt (even if it's the silliest anyone can imagine), drop it on the Q/A page. I'll help if I can. (Mainly, I can be of some help in science, maths, computer applications), may be somewhat History&Civics and Geography(my weakest subject ever). But, if I can, I'll help in other subjects too. 4) For more info, stay tuned!! I also gotta prepare for a tough examination, two indeed:- 12th boards and JEE. So, may be I'll be less frequent in appearing here but I'll surely help, if I possess the capability to do so. If you want any study tips or want some help, inbox me. 5) Last for now but not the least:- " TAKE A LOOK AT THE RESULT WALL OF ANY YEAR YOU WANT ON RES OR ASK OTHER ICSEians, AT LEAST 95% OF THEM WILL TELL THAT ENGLISH PLAYED THE EVIL ROLE. ICSE IS LENIENT IN MARKING OF ALMOST ALL SUBJECTS EXCEPT ENGLISH. SO, PLEASE, READ THE POEMS THOROUGHLY, TRY TO MAKE OUT ITS SYMBOLIC MEANING, READ STORIES THOROUGHLY, FILL YOUR WHOLE WORKBOOK, IF POSSIBLE, THEN, TWICE, SEARCH FOR MORE AND MORE QUESTIONS AND SOLVE THEM ALL. DON'T LET THIS ONE SUBJECT SPOIL YOUR RESULT, AS IT HAS DONE OURS. Do follow my tips and you'll surely be standing tall one day!! Thanks for reading, guys, please like this and do subscribe to our channel.... heeyyyy.. I forgot, this isn't a youtube video!! xD Anyways, byeee!! |
