Okay, so this is going to be a long one. First up, this is me. Not a fake one. Verify my mail, if you want. Second, this was not planned. Nor was this an attention bait. It's just that I wasn't strong enough to stay away from my family of sorts. Third, I know some people will kill me for having done all this, but please I was seriously not in the right frame of mind, and I repeat: I DID NOT leave Res in order to make a comeback later. That NEVER crossed my mind. I was seriously too troubled to go through all that trouble. More on this later. Fourth, HOW ARE YOU?? The first thing I saw after creating this new ID was to read today's questions. Well, it would be an understatement to say that I was moved. I never thought I matter to you guys. And the reason my last post( the History one) was late was not because I was busy, but because I thought you people didn't need that stuff, and were probably bored of me. But this stuff, I mean, is next level! I cannot express my gratitude in words( Yashaswini old help!!) This leads us to one more thing: Hats off to you guys. You are just like a family which comes together to help each other at each moment. Like, so many people posted such awesome stuff!! I don't want to downplay the efforts of others, but man! Yashaswini, what are you? That post was out of this world! Coming to the main thing. I am sorry I am too late this time. I know I can't help most of you today, as you will probably be snoring when I finish this. But, for the nocturnals like me, I will still try, although my words would be dirt compared to that Goddess I mentioned. Anyway, here are some freebies: 1) Keep your head calm while doing Topo. A quick review after finishing will help immensely. Also, for the distance question, what I did was to make the mark on the thread very lightly, on my first reading. Then I would check twice or thrice, and finally write the answer. Also, to double check, make a final reading after completing the paper. 2) In the map, rather than making it look like a rainbow, focus on neatness. Even pencil can make the map look better than using the whole spectrum and ending up with a colour pallete. You don't wanna make the examiner go colour blind. 3) Make your answers short and crisp. This is not history( I can almost hear a dozen "Thank God History is history" in response to this 😂). Just make sure the central point is clear, and add a line for bulk 4) Underline the key points, as I always say. Helps a lot. 6) Try to finish maps and Topo together in the first 40 minutes. Then you'll have enough time for writing as much as required, and then do a revision. 7) Revision is of utmost importance in geography. More specifically, an impartial revision. What I mean is this: after finishing up the paper, drink some water, and then pretend that you are the examiner. Now check your paper like the examiner would check it. You'll hunt down quite a few mistakes. I guarantee. 8) Make sure to ATTACH the graph properly. It should not come out at any cost. I want to tell you one more thing. If your teachers or you yourself think that some of the above are BS, please do so. And this is not sarcasm. The reason is, I am 100 % sure that Geo was the culprit behind my 97 in HCG. But I can tell you one thing: These advices, I think, didn't have a bearing on my marks; my lack of confidence did. Phew! This is the end of this post, I believe. I would again like to clarify that this( leaving and returning) was NOT a trick/ surprise/ stunt. If you were in my shoes, you'd know. So(cliché alert!), RIP THAT PAPER OFF!! BITE THROUGH IT HARD!! YOU ARE THE BEST! And yeah, Thanks😀 |
