Happy Holi to all of you!!
I know many of you won't have celebrated Holi this time around but don't get disheartened. Even I didn't. Make your sacrifice pay off by studying your brains out.
All the best for your exams.

To all my Respaper mates:
I had never imagined that a site such as this would gift me a sense of community that I've looked for everywhere. Thank you for being there and know that it has been a wonderful journey.
May all of you have a great holi and receive at least a fraction of the happiness that you've given me.
Thank you!

Hey everyone!!

Down there, I see a lot of posts and queries asking about the rules for calculating the percentage. Let me clear something first: IT DOES NOT MATTER. Why are you worrying about the percentage right now? People have been saying that one of their subjects is weak, so they want to know whether it'll be counted in the percentage or not! I mean, seriously? If you are really concerned about that particular subject, you've good time on your hands: utilise it and make it stronger! I speak from my experience of the results day, that people are more interested in ALL of your marks, than your percentage itself. Suppose I would have gotten something like 80/100 in HCG. I would have dropped it in my %, which would be unaffected. People would still have said,"Oh Saksham! You've got such a nice percentage!". But they would now have singled out my HCG score, and to demean my result, most would counter,"But he has only 80 in HCG!!". Well, the gist is this: The best 5 rubbish is just to improve the percentage you tell people, but the truth is that in truly important places, like resumes for interviews, etc, you attach the whole marksheet and thus present all of your marks. If then they ask that you don't have good performances in a particular subject, you can't use the perpetual shield of best 5, as the marksheet has no percentage. Boards are meant for checking the overall aptitude of a student in all subjects, so a 99% with a 70 in one subject is pure jargon. And the harsh truth is that 90% people study for the percentage, so they don't really care how they get it. Well, most of the times, such people are the ones left behind in the later stages of life. People will say that I am just preaching and speaking too much. Well, okay. You might think so, but the ones who are truly concerned for each subject, who take their targets one at a time, will understand what I am talking about. And such people, however less in number, will be the ones who might today not get a better "best 5" percentage than the others , but they will be the winners in the long run.

So, please counter the boards one exam at a time, and try to give your 100% for each and every subject, from Hindi to Science, and rest assured that you have won.

Pardon me for the long post, but I just couldn't help it.
