Can we use the following formula to find the rate?
(Amount2-Amount1/Amount1) * 100%?
Amount 1 and 2 are consecutive amounts of consecutive years and the formula can be used with the values of C.I too.....

another doubt is while computing matrix sums say A  is some matrix 
and we get A^2+5I= null matrix, in the conclusion should we write 
A^2+5I=0(just zero) or as 0 0 (a null matrix)
