Could someone please verify this?
1)Electrolysis of dilute NaCl solution.
At cathode: H+ ions discharged.
At anode: OH- ions discharged.
2)Electrolysis of concentrated NaCl solution.
At cathode:H+ ions discharged.
At anode: Cl- ions discharged.
3) Largest atomic radius in group 1- Francium. Group 2- Radium.
4) Most reactive element/highest electropositivity/least EA/ least IP/ most metallic character in group 1- cesium (not Francium) and in group 2-strontium (not radium).

I have a doubt, might be silly! :
Ions are atoms which have a net charge on them. It means that they have gained/lost electrons to achieve a stable electronic configuration. Now, they are stable. Then, why do they again gain/lose electrons to form a neutral atom?. Reply ASAP. |
