2) Is fusion = melting as given in Selina. If it is so, why isn't latent heat of fusion = latent heat of melting.

A cell of emf 2V and internal resistance 1.2V is connected to an ammeter of resistance 0.8V and two parallel resistors of 4.5ohm and 9ohm. Find the reading of the ammeter, the PD across the terminals of the cell and the PD across the 4.5 ohm resistor

Why does effect of friction only affects the mechanical advantage and not the velocity ratio...pls. stress upon the velocity ratio part that why isn't it affected??
