Hi guys I have some tips for ur physics exam
1.firstly u have 12 chapters in ur physics textbook(selina)
But according to the ICSE curriculum there are on 6 chapters those are the 6 questions in section b. The chapters are:1.
1. mechanics
2.Light
3.Sound
4.Electricity
5.Heat
6. Modern physics.
So u need to attempt 4 chapters .but mechanics ,light, electricity have three chapters so if u read read the complete section as mentioned (eg: if u read reflection and leave spectrum then it's in complete) so make sure u read complete sections but when it comes to section A u need to know the basics of all chapters and basic numericals then ur also done with section A.
2.don't read all the difficult derivations bcoz none will be asked ,so don't waste ur time reading derivations.
3.don't reading the all the working and mechanism especially in the electricity part nothing will be asked..
4.many students study more tries to grab all the difficult ones and leave the easy ones, and the easy ones will be asked in the examinations and you will lose marks.....remember to stress on small and silly things rather than the difficult ones..
5.numericals should be taken seriously bcoz when u look at the previous years papers the numericals might look easy but when u are in the exam hall u tend to forget if u didn't practice at least once so make sure even if it is the easiest one like F=ma make sure atleast u just study it ,don't build overconfidence if u are far from it success will come nearer so don't ever be overconfident..
6.if u are readind g the electricity part read the series and parallel resistor problems..ray diagrams in light ....torque and moment of inertia in mechanics.....concept related to alpha beta in modern physics....radar and sonar problems....read even extra problems but don't forget to read these concepts
7.make sure u know some basic diagrams
8.rather than reading complex definitions read more reasoning type questions either from together with or any other reference book or from different res paper....what happens when u read more reasoning type is ur concepts get stronger u needn't mug up definitions rather u can frame ur own...so I suggest u to read more reasoning questions.
*********important*******
1.go through the analysis of pupil performance in the ICSE official website or just type this in Google u get it.
2. Read the chapters according to the syllabus given at the beginning of ur textbooks or u can download this from the ICSE website as well,of u want to read the extra stuff in ur books u can read it in ur holidays.....
All the best to all ICSE ICSE aspirants........
