the answer is 1:4     -   do we have to use this to prove it - i have first proved that triangleDBE is similar to triangle ABC
so by that AC= 2DE
and then similarly 
AB=2EF
BC=2DF
then by that triangle DEF is proved similar to triangle ABC
and hence the ratio
