[2] (b) Why should we reduce our dependence on coal and petroleum? Suggest an alternative that may help in making this possible. [2] (c) Differentiate between Fixed Capital and Working Capital. [3] (d) State two differences between a Central Bank and a Commercial Bank. [3] Question 4 (a) What do you mean by communication? Name any two important means of communication in India. [2] (b) State the difference between Fiscal Policy and M onetary Policy. [2] (c) Name a large-scale industry in India and state any two problems faced by that industry. State three benefits of 'consolidation of holdings.' [5] (b) What is meant by 'Partnership'? Describe three characteristics of partnership firm. [5] Question 10 (a) Describe any two methods of credit control used by the Central Bank. [5] (b) Explain any two steps taken by the Government of India to promote large-scale [5] industries. Question 11 (a) What is economic planning? Give three reasons why economic planning was adopted in India. [5] (b) Describe any two roles that the state plays in promoting economic development. [5]
