Do we have to write an introduction as in our school it was compulsory to write intro in  the term exams ....i do not know about the board format so i am asking 

Also do we have to write to the point and finish the answer in three sentences or do we have to tell what happened before and after it as well ?????

In poems like 'I believe' and 'if though must love me' , where the poet is female ,do we have to call her a 'poet' or a 'poetess' (as earlier all were called as poets and also many prelim papers have the questions mentioning them as 'poet').
